Skee-lo may be short in stature, but he's livin' large! After a five-year hiatus following his smash first album, I Wish, Skee-lo is back and better than ever with his new release, I Can't Stop. Skee-lo used his time away from the spotlight to create this honest, catchy album on which he wrote all 11 tracks. I Can't Stop is a rap rarity in that all of the songs were recorded live and use no sampling whatsoever!
The new album is met with high expectations, and I Wish will be a tough act to follow. The single of the same name shot to the top of the charts and scored Skee-lo a bevy of award nominations, including two Grammy nods and three for the Billboard Video Awards. I Wish set Skee-lo apart from other rappers because of its positive outlook, anti-sexist lyrical content, and lack of profanity. This strong set of values is conveyed on the second album and is evident in his thoughtful lyrics. Go Skee-lo!
